2019 Camaro Refresh Calming Down

It has now been a few weeks since the 2019 Camaro mid-cycle refresh was revealed. I think folks are taking a breath now, and now hammering on the car as they were the first couple of days. We also got some pictures of one in the wild now.

Some people continue to compare the current Turbo 4 Camaro to the old 1980’s Iron Duke 4-cylinder car. Our friends at Jalopnik do a pretty nice article show the true difference between these two 4-cylinder cars.

I think you guys are way wrong about growing love for the refresh!
My theory is that this was done to make Camaro 2019 undesirable, to sell off inventory from ’17 and ’18 , historically (other than 1st gen and possibly 4th gen) every refresh has been uglier than the original model (example the hideous chrome moulding on the skinny ’14 and ’15grille, monster bumpers on the ’73, and so on and so forth). However a fresh gen always starts out awesome, every time. I am sure you know the story of Cadillac designing gen6, based off of the great gen 2, that Chevy turned down because gen 5 sales were great and they only wanted a reimagining of 5?
Take the cancellation of Camaro theory VERY seriously- right now we are seeing cars thruout the world starting to look the same, the auto market is quickly turning to generic, non personality type vehicles, in other words they are treating the automobile as an appliance. Soon the performance era will end (cost will kill it. Eyes of corporate are all over electric and hybrid, not about cool and badass. If we see a 7th gen it will be so different it will shock us. BIG IF
